Sounds like you had a good time! Yep, the sea lions are very noisy but fun to watch.

Did you go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium while you were in Monterey? It's a very nice aquarium...

I'm told Zion National Park is really nice, how did you like it compared to the others?

well Zion is beautifull but you're in the canyon so you have to look up. But they have some unique rock formations. I think in my top 5 it will come 4th after grand, yosemite, bryce.

You visited many great and beautiful places!

To me, Zion is the most beautiful place in the entire world. It is a Grand Canyon in the making. It contains many different habitats, depending on the altitude and the location of the sun relative to the cliff walls. There is a place that is so narrow, with cliffs so high, that it only gets two hours of sunlight each day. There are places so remote that you can only get there by hiking, and it takes days to do so. I love hiking there, either hiking up mountain paths or through hidden canyons. Yes, there is much unique rock formations and terrain. Much is awe-inspiring. If I was more creative, I would have written a story (or adventure game) based on the inspirations of Zion. But, of course, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. (Ahhh... memories.)

Weren't the rock formations at Arches National Park also interesting? Did you go "that rock looks like ..." many times with your family?

As for the Mummy Ride at Universal Studios, would you mind giving details of what you saw and did on it?

well when we came to universal studios we did not know what to expect so we began in the lower lot with the ride of the mummy. At first we thought it was just some kind of horror house because of the atmosphere and at first the carriage didn't move that fast but al of a sudden it accelerate from like 3 miles to 40 or even more and from then it was the fastest rc I've been on. at the end you almost hit a wall and instead of going trough that wall, it just stopped and went backwards.

as for the rock formations yeah we did had that kind of feeling esspecialy in elephant rock state park and in arches.

In zion we did a walk in the narrows, we had to walk through the river wich was pretty cool and refreshing.

What effects were used for the Mummy ride? Were mummies jumping at you? Did people turn into mummies? Did they use live actors? Were there snakes and scarabs?

There is a commercial for the Return of Mummies Ride at Universal Studios in Florida. But it is hard to tell from the commercial what you actually see on the ride. It is also possible that the rides are different between California and Florida.
