Boy, ain't that great. I mean really; who needs a musical toilet seat?? I sure don't, that's for sure. I don't really want the toilet singing to me when I'm trying to do my business. Now, with this, err, Wee Winkle Tinkle seat, at least it doesn't play music when you put it down. Otherwise, it'd be like my butt was singing to me.

Ok, now I'm scared. The things people do, I swear. They have too much time on their hands. Besides, who the heck plays this Tuba-Toilet Thingy anyway? For right now, I'll call it the Triple T. :P

Sure, I can just see somebody sitting in front of the crowd, playing a toilet. Who in the world would want to? I mean really. They tried to make the thing look pretty by painting it in little flowers and so, but it's not hiding anything. Just face it peeps, it's a toilet. You definitely can't hide the Pott.

Hey, people have done stranger things. Who'd want to suspend himself in a plexiglass box a hundred feet in the air with no food for weeks? :? Yet it has been done just for the sake of doing it...

I think you nailed it Luna. Sometimes people do things just to say they did it. It gives them a sense of accomplishment. By the way, who is more foolish; the fools who perform these deeds just to do them or the fools who watch them do it?

Yes... "Why did you climb that mountain?" "Because it was there." We wouldn't be where we are today if there weren't risk takers. But people should do things to reduce the risks as much as possible.

A fool to one is not a fool to others. Why do people watch boxing, hockey games, and American football? I don't like these sports because they are too violent. But I'm obviously in a minority.

As far as the "no food for weeks while in 'plain view'" example, that is just an illusion.

A number of years ago I saw a small marching band where all of the instruments were related to plumbing. Toilets were used as drums. Various pipes were used as "brass" instrument equivalents. They were actually quite good. I wish I could remember their name.

I don't watch boxing, wrestling, or any other violent events because, well, they're violent. I don't like violence one bit. Like Jay, I guess I'm another one in a minority.

Not that playing such a thing as that tuba-toilet combination instrument would be bad. In fact, it might sound pretty good. It's just an odd instrument to play. I've never heard of such a thing as that. I've heard much worse though. Like the guy who locked himself in his attic for over fifty-some years; it was small and compact, and he lived all his life in the attic. That was in the Book of World Records.

Speaking of odd instruments, ever heard of this group called Stomp? It's a large group of people who use ordinary things such as keys, trash can lids, mops, etc. to make music. I've heard them, and they're incredibly good. They have concerts and make video soundtracks. They're great in my opinion.

STOMP is awsome ive seen a few of their videos once they were on an old billboard frame on top of a tall building and there were many random objects strapped to it and the people swung back and forth in rock-climbing harnesses and played on the different objects it was cool

I also think Stomp is awesome. I've seen them perform on talk shows and award shows. I haven't been to their concerts. (I'm not much into concerts, though I sometimes see mini-concerts that are associated with other things.) They are constantly trying new things, usually successfully. I wish I saw that "rocking and swinging" (OK, bad joke) performance of theirs. That sounds like it could be their best performance yet.

But it isn't "just" an illusion. A lot of thought and work went into setting that whole thing up, just to fool people. Why make such an illusion? The point is still valid--the meaning of doing such a thing ultimately seems insignificant, so why do it in the first place? Again, because it can be done.

Which is actually something that rather scares me about human nature...if it can be done, we will do it. Good and bad. We're sort of the Murphy's Law of the animal kingdom in that sense...
