yes, start out by asking at ZooAdmin...
they may have a newer version than the one you downloaded.

At ZA, in the Downloads Support forum, there is a topic on the Hotels. I believe you had posted a question at ZA on the 21st. Later in the day, your question was merged with other similar questions, so you may not have seen the discussion. Some people have the same problem. Others are not having the problem. No true resolution has occurred. The topic also mentions people having problems with guests getting stuck inside some hotels. Some hotels need a path entirely around the hotel, without any other objects on the path.
I looked at the programming (although I did not compare the programming to the graphics). Just looking at the programming for the hotels, the only one that is somewhat off is for the entrance/exit of "The Maroon". But a number of buildings by others have the same problem. In general, due to this problem, it is best not to keep benches or picnic tables within 2 grid squares of user created buildings. Since the hotels satisfy the energy needs of guests, there shouldn't be a need to put benches and tables near them any way. (It can also help to have paths that are double width around some user buildings such as The Maroon hotel.) Also as a general rule, I would recommend avoiding any user created benches or picnic tables or guest hacks. They will always only work with a specific version of Zoo Tycoon. Just having them in your Updates (or dlupdates) folder can cause problems, even if they are not in the zoo.
I hope these general comments help. Any specific comments would have to be given at ZA.

Unfortunately, not everything can work together. Creators in the user community are limited to what Blue Fang allows in the Zoo Tycoon programs. Guest behaviors are controlled entirely within the programs instead of via configuration files. (Although they did a far better job than most companies would do, Blue Fang needs fantastic general purpose programmers like me.
) Technically, Blue Fang only allowed the user community to create new animals and new "scenery" types of objects, not buildings. But, as is so common, individuals refused to be held back and started creating buildings, paths, and fences. (I'm glad they did, since that makes ZT so much more interesting.) And Blue Fang was even nice enough to cooperate with the user community concerning the dll files for these things. But there are still things that can only be done by changing the Zoo Tycoon programs themselves.
In your post at ZA, you mentioned that you use the benches just for decoration. Maybe you want to go to the Requests section here and request non-functional benches. That sounds like something that can be very nice for looks and avoid the problems that are inherent with user created, functional benches. Since many buildings satisfy guest energy needs anyway, user created benches aren't really needed to be functional.

(Why don't you work for Blue Fang? I could be a reference.

Thanks for all your help.
