I received the following from Sundance's mom from Friday night / Saturday morning.
She wanted me to write to you and let you know that she is in the hospital. She was bucked off of her horse and broke her femur (thigh bone).  It was a clean break. all that she needed was surgery and a rod in her leg. But no. you know she can do nothing simple.  She developed problems breathing and had to be sent to ICU.  They are not able to find out what is wrong with her. Her oxygen level is very low and they are watching to see if she has to be put on a ventilator.  Tonight I think that she is improving. she is a little more alert and they are lowering her oxygen to 80% instead of 100%.  So far she is holding.  She is in a lot of pain.  But she is holding up.  Please keep her in your prayers.
As the last sentence says, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Ouch! I have another friend who broke his femur once in a motorcycle accident. The femur is stronger than concrete, he says, but not stronger than a steel I-beam (he wasn't lucky enough to have a clean break, either - he shattered it). I hope Sundance recovers well!

I hope she makes a quick recovery. I wish her the best.
