The Green Tree monitor is one of the few monitor species, that has the ability to use its tail as a fifth limb. The Green Tree Monitor is a truly beautiful animal. A long, graceful lizard with a pointed head and a whip-like tail. Their sharp claws, stout legs, and big, strong feet are powerful climbing aids. Green Tree Monitors are smaller than many other monitors, reaching an average three feet in length.
