911 Never Froget
that really was a crazy day even here in ohio i cant imagine what it would have been like to lose family on those flights or in those buildings though or what it would have been like to be in one of them
here in urbana we are pretty close to wright pat. AFB so you could hear sonic booms all day from all the fighters and radar jets flying throughout the nation
i still remember exactly what was happening when i found out about it
during 4th period (my 7th grade science class) many teachers already had their tvs on (with nothing on the screen) so the school brodcast system put up the local news and many people saw what was going on but my teachers tv was off so we had no idea what was going on so after the bell rang i walked out of class and on the first flight of stairs one of my friends ran by and said "the world trade center and the pentagon just blew up!" (because at that time not many people knew that planes had hit the buildings) but from that little description of events i had no idea at all what he was talking about so when i got down to the lunch room i saw a huge crowd around the tv (that is no longer there) so i went over to see footage of the towers collapsing and i really didnt know what to think i just remember our school being really strangly quiet for the rest of the day
i just hope nothing of this scale ever happens again
