Todays my last day of school, But I do have 8th grade graduation tomorrow and i'm getting some kind of award so thats cool. It bites though cause I have to wake up early for practice and i'm not a morning person.
I'm going to sing the Doom song now, Doom, Doom, Doom, Doom, Doom, Doom... Oh, and my user name on Neopets is Rushellefff... Doom, Doom, Doom.
LOL neither am I, DoD. (grumble grumble
) Morning is definitely not my time of day.
My last day of school is on June 4. It was from all the snow days we had back in February that did it. We have to make them up. I also have that 8th grade graduation. I'm just glad I can make it to high school. In time for some exams.
Ah well. More friends. I'll just enjoy summer while I can.

well i finished my last exam (science, it was cake) my school has eighth grade graduation on the last day of school around 1:30 or 2:00 if i remember (i was in 8th last year) last week i had some awards almost every night: underclassmen(9th, 10th, 11th grade) recognition, band awards, academic banquet (surprised i got to go my grades slipped a bit the 3rd quarter
) and on monday is skipped the spring sports awards to do exam projects
today after school(i got out at 10:40 instead of the normal 2:35) i went to see an old teacher (i was in this "exceptional learner" progra whatever that means
but it was always my favorite class so we visit often) and my friends and i stayed there from about 11:30 to nearly 5:00 and ate pizza and talked forever it was awsome!
@ pkboo-we are going to disney getting there on tuesday

I live in Orlando. The high today was 93 F in Orlando; 85 F along the coast. Mostly sunny. This is expected to continue through the weekend.
We normally do not get too much rain this time of year. July through September are the times for major thunderstorms nearly every day. However, we usually get enough occasional quick showers this time of year to keep the water level relatively up. But it has been drier than normal. I was at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge on the coast today. (I was getting some info on sandhill cranes since I have been seeing so many in Orlando. I also bought a couple books on birds.) Normally there is much water and marshes there. Today it looked like a desert, with only a few puddles of water here and there. But that is more a refuge for the migratory birds in the winter than it is this time of year (fortunately).

Us engineers talk English good.
If it makes you feel any better, noone ever uses calculus in real life. Algebra and Power Series are the most complicated math subjects that can actually be useful. As for the bad news... there will probably be other classes with unfair grading. That's what college is all about... If a person can take unfairness in college, then they probably will not have problems with the unfairness in jobs.

thanks for the weather update last time (about 3 years ago) we went to orlando the weather was great but the weather on the way down (we drove my mom hates planes) was another story torential rains around atlanta our car just crawled along following the tail lights of the car in front of us (because thats all we could see) but it was still fun

I know the feeling: Mathematics is my main subjectsuperlion wrote:Don't remind me of calculusCapt.Rutlinger wrote: mathematics: derivativs, limits,...That class really hurt my GPA because of how it's graded (if I took the time to explain it you'd sit there with stunned faces and ask 'why?' - other people have) If it weren't for how the exam was graded I could have made B or maybe even an A. At least I got a B in Chem - the class half the people fail the first time around... And then another A in English. Maybe I should change my major
(nahh... English is just easy at our school to help out with people in engineering and agriculture who may or may not have good language skills to complement their technical knowledge...

I have never experienced "nothing to do". Between puzzles, computers, books, and nature, there will always be something for me to do for my entire life. And, of course, there is always Zoo Tycoon.Taiyoukai_Okibi wrote:now that there is nothing to do
Since you like drawing, can't you find many interesting things to draw?
