I swear some of the things we have for lunch in school is a mystery. They usually put up a menu in the serving area and tell you what they're having, but some things they have up for grabs, you can't even tell what it really is, and they look terrible. :XP: Luckily, the only really good thing they have are the various fruit drinks and their chef salads. Now there is something I really enjoy. :) Mmmmmm...

I remember lunch at high school. Our cafeteria made pretty good hamburgers w/ bacon and fries for only $2. Cheap price for surprisingly good food. And of course I'll never forget the food fights...

Food fights at my school spell out your doom, if you know what I mean. :P

The Huntington North High School Vikings used to have these cheeseburgers they called Viking Burgers. My mother went to the HNHS when she was that 'appropriate' age, and she said the Viking Burgers were really good. I'll take her advice and see if they still have them.

The thing with food fights at my school was the school couldn't do anything because just about everyone in the cafeteria threw something. I was actually in a classroom on the second floor and from our windows we could see the cafeteria. I saw this one food fight where even with my overhead view I couldn't see the floor or the carpet. I'll always remember the site of a full bottle of Coke spinning through the air... :D

I find it strange that, though I always see food fights on TV and hear about them from other people (like Phantom), I have never been involved in one, or heard of one happening at my school.

I've never been involved in one until college... but then again, it's usually one or two people throwing a french fry or something at each other... although trying to get a wadded up paper napkin/serviette into someone else's cup is a pretty common thing...

I saw one at my high school, heard about another at my high school, but have never been in one. Not sure if I want to be in one unless the clothes I'm wearing are headed for the trash anyways... <_<

ive never been in a full scale food fight but my friends and i had milk fights we fold the cartons(they have directions on the back to fold them to reduce trash volume) but they arent totally flat so you lay it inyour palm and clap your hands together and blast milk droplets into peoples faces  then there is the ever-present danger of someone putting something in your food when you get up to do something

our school has things kind of like the Viking Burgers we have special 1/4 pounder day on wednesday(the only burgers we get with real meat :XP: mmm soy burgers  jk) and Hillclimber(we are the Urbana Hillclimbers) Pizza Meal on Friday(just red baron frozen pizzas that arent very good and overpriced so i dont get them

btw: Huntington North has a nice basketball stadium with tons of seats(my uncle has some of the box type seats on the corners) and a really nice weight room(its like twice as big as ours with 3 times as many machines and there all brand new my schools machines are ancient) and the school is just al around better than ours (my school is really old if it wasnt for that fire we'd probably still be in that 150 year old building but we are still in the same spot on a big hill (hence the name Hillclimbers) and we have the weirdest mascot a little person(i think its a woman with really short hair) named Sparky  )
heres what it(she?) looks like:Image(not a good pic)

i love off-topic topics

We always throw things at eachother but most of the time it's just wet toilet paper
but there was one ocassion in wich we threw potatoes at eachother

Wet toilet paper? No thanks.

Riverview's (junior high school) mascot is the Raider. So, we're called The Riverview Raiders. We have a really nice basketball and volleyball team. Our Cross Country Team is really good, too. Fast runners. :D Riverview's colors are gold and blue. We have two seperate teams based on those colors. Of course they're blue and gold. I'm on the blue team. The two teams compete throughout every single year to try to be better than the opposite team. Of course, the blue team is cooler for me. ;)

Way back in elementary, we were called the Horace Mann Huskies. Our colors were just white and green. The Huskie was very cartoonish. I did manage to win a yearbook cover contest back in 5th grade. Gave me a little glory. :)

The Raider Band is known for many 1st place awards. We have many 2nd placers', but enough 1st place plaques and trophies to make us known and proud! :D

Our mascot is quite corny. Though its funny, because we have a costume of the Raider, and every once in a while, a student will dress in the costume and walk around the halls in between periods. We also have our own TV program. It's simple: Riverview TV. Sometimes they'll bring the mascot costume out and they'll do a cute little skit with it on RTV.

If we ever dared engage in a food fight at my high school, we all would have been forced to clean every last drop of it up, and then we'd all probably have detention for a month. Of course, I went to an all girls Catholic high school, where we were expected to be prim and proper young ladies. Little did THEY know! We were the Mercy High Monarchs.

That's what I enjoyed about public high school. Things could get downright entertaining at times. :sneaky: Like the time I was a freshman and we stole the spirit stick from the seniors... The best was when we won the State Championship in ice hockey my senior year. Hockey is my favorite sport to watch and winning it 2-1 in overtime was incredible.
