:)) Welcome! Grandma here as well. In fact, I was introduced to ZT by my friend who is 76 herself! Take your time, make use of the guides and have fun!
Feel free to email me off forum if you like, I've gone all through them and enjoy just messing around with it now.

If you're meaning sound effects, I'm not sure there are any...but someone else here might know.

welcome!

A fact is a simple statement that everyone believes. It is innocent, unless found guilty. A hypothesis is a novel suggestion that no one wants to believe. It is guilty, until found effective.

Welcome to the Lounge.

I just enjoy the sounds that some users have put in with their animal and object creations. Although I haven't used any of the following yet, there are some other downloads available at Zoo Admin (http://zoo.ogresnet.com/) that deal with sounds in unique ways. There is a download that allows you to change the starting theme music (Utilities and Hacks -> Hacks -> Alternate Menu Theme). There is a download that has statues with different theme music for different habitats (Packs -> User Packs -> Musical Habitat Statues). The 2003 Xmas Exp. Complete Collection pack gives instructions on how to change the music/sounds for some of the items in the pack. But all of these can be tricky to install.

I clicked on the Add to my buddy list, though I admit I don't always have my IM open. If you go to the ZT site at Microsoft, there are all the latest downloads for sounds, updates etc. Did you just get your game? I just checked the site and they have a new update, Mexican Grey Wolf--it's neat, has buildings, a wall, statue, tree, observation cover, nacho stand, stone path-the path is great because it has a curved edge for one tile. If you get the download from them and then click Open, it will put them where they go in the game and when you open the game they are already there.

Otherwise you need to unzip a download and put it in the Update folder of ZT. If you need any other help just post it; or send me a message or email. :))
