Hi folks
There are couple of references in the read this before asking questions thread to tutorials on zoogirlandfriends.com/starterpage.html but unfortunately the site appears to have closed or at any rate the link didn't work)
. Anyone know where a copy of the tutorials might be found, or did anyone keep a copy?

Welcome to the Lounge. And thanks for reading the "read this before asking questions" topic.
I have not read those tutorials. But, according to the above topic, they dealt with extracting DD dinosaurs and getting sounds to work with new animals. Those topics are also covered here:

The latter is a long guide concerning the editing of an animal's ".uca" file. It covers a lot, including sounds.

OK thanks for letting me know where to find equivalents Jay.
I'm a bit obsessive (at least that's what my family tell me!
) about information to do with the projects I take on. I am assembling a portfolio of all the stuff I'll need if I am to have any chance of making effective animals and buildings. Knowing that I don't know how to extract dinosaurs (which don't appear on any of my various copies of APE) and also that I know little about sounds in zt
, I thought I'd add these sources to my portfolio. So that's what I was after Fern - thanks

APE II is only a tutorial. It is not a program like APE for Zoo Tycoon 1. You can find the APE II tutorial at ZA (Zoo Admin):

There are other tutorials at ZA for creating things in Zoo Tycoon 2. For example, there is a tutorial on how to create animal variants. It is called VAT. Here is a link to the tutorials that can be downloaded at ZA's ZT2 download site:
