What does it really do? The workers say they go there for supplies.

It basically just gives them a place to go when they don't have anything to do (or just aren't doing anything, my keepers always just ignore most of the work that they should be doing

). If you don't have one, the workers all sit on benches and the guests have nowhere to sit

That's why you can put benches
inside the exhibit.

That would be actually kinda cute! And the pandas too! Anyway, I got ZT2 up and running on my dads comp! So, I know what your all talking about!
*Ahem* Yes, all my keepers are extreamly lazy, they just sit on their butts and stare ino space while I'm watching Giant Panda 2 mark his scent on a tree, and Giant Panda 1 get angry from all the poo!

I never use the staff centers. I always put benches in the exhibits, but I really don't like doing that, because I think it looks dumb. However, I can't stand it when I get a barrage of messages saying "Zookeeper 1 can't reach the small poo." This seems to happen most often with the bird species in the game - flamingo, penguin and peafowl.
But it's true that if you give the keepers access outside the exhibit, they will sit on all the benches and take up space. Same with maintenance workers. I'm not sure about the educators....they have their own problems.

i always use staff centres. at Adelaide zoo(the zoo i volunteer at) the keepers have breaks for 1/2 hour every few hours plus the hour lunch so it makes the zoo more realistic
