I think the actual release date depends on what store you're buying from. Some stores already have it and some won't have it until later. According to information on the MS website, the game shipped to stores November 8. I guess it depends on when the stores actually receive it. :?

Anyway, I just got my copy tonight at Target. Price was $34.99. I would not pre-order at this point, you'd be waiting longer for the pre-order to arrive than you would just calling stores and asking if they have it.

I am writhing in frustration. My credit card expired in September. After receiving my new card with a new expiration date, I went immediately to those sites where I purchase frequently and changed the card information.

When I opened my e-mail today I had two messages from Amazon.com. Both said I needed to update my card's expiration date! I did...again. The strategy book and my game will be shipped immediately. I want to play NOW! :(

I went to EB Games last night. I might add I called first, to see if they had ZT2. Yes, for sure, we do ma'am. I drive out of my way to go to the EB store. No ZT2!
:( They are far more interested in selling Halo 2, and tell me, well yes, it was released 11/11, but they don't have it yet. I say but i called, and you said you had it. Their answer: We were wrong. Bah! I go into the Walmart next door. No ZT2 there, but they do have a spot for it. I look around in vain for a Walmart person to ask. None to be found, much to the dismay of myself and a half dozen other shoppers, all looking for Electronics help. Stuff it. I go to the Walmart that's on the way home. Walmart people there tell me they will have it today the 12th. I go today, and no ZT2, and the same Walmart people tell me they never told me anything about the 12th. No more Walmart for me, I am going to the closest Target tomorrow!

I think all of you do not realise how lucky you are, I'll have to wait a couple of more weeks before the game is released in Europe.

A fact is a simple statement that everyone believes. It is innocent, unless found guilty. A hypothesis is a novel suggestion that no one wants to believe. It is guilty, until found effective.

I got my game today at Target. I had prepared myself for disappointment yet again, especially when the ZT2 spot next to ZTCC was empty. But thet had more in their New Releases section! They even had the version with the monkey pen and extra DVD, which I never expected to find. I'm going to be installing it soon. I agree, we in North America are lucky. Cap't, had I known, I'd have picked you up a copy and mailed it, I'm on the US East coast, so the shipping might not have been terrible.

Glad to hear you found it! I know how frustrating that is, driving all over looking for something, only to be disappointed it's not there (especially after you called)!

I got the monkey pen, too. I kinda wanted the tiger but this'll work.

Best Buy has them. I got one today. The local store here had the chimpanzee pen and the tiger pen. I chose the chimp one, though if they had the koala I probably would have went that route. No biggie though, the pen is just an extra. I really wanted the game. :))

So now the DVD doesn't come with all of them? Mine has one, but I was wondering are there versions that don't have the DVD?

I can't remember the exact numbers, but the initial release would have the pens and the bonus DVD's. After those copies sell, I don't believe the pens or DVD's will be available anymore.

Hmmm. Anyone know if it will be in Wal*Mart tomorrow? I am thinking about walking over there in the afternoon. Then I will also get some training in for the adventure race I'm doing in January. (friend who went said to train I'll need to work myself up to a 10-mile walk once a week and run three miles all the other days of the week, starting now! It's a 40-mile hiking race over two days.... Wal*Mart is about 3 or four miles each way)

Since I'm working over Thanksgiving break (tragic I know. But if you feel sorry for me I will start feeling sorrier for myself so don't mention it), I want to get a copy of the game so I can play when I'm working (because over the break I will probably hardly do anything, they just need someone to be there), plus since I'm working I can afford it!

Well, that's cool. Sounds like I got one of the good ones :) Though I have been having too much fun with the game to watch my DVD yet.

I haven't watched the DVD, either. I'm sure it's great but as you say, I'm too busy with the game.

That and trying to catch up on housework and laundry!!

My local Walmart didn't have it as of the 13th, but they did have a space for it and a little sign with the "smiling chimp". I would expect Walmart should be getting them anytime now.
