Just curious :?

I've reached the limit in ztd files today, it's 392.

However, this is not the limit of actuall objects, cause in one of my
tests that lead me to reach this conclusion I removed flagpack.ztd
(which removes atleast 10 objects from the game), but after putting back
2 ztd files which contained 1 object each the game crashed during load,
removed 1 and it loaded succesfull again.

I'm gonna try putting some animals together in 1 ztd and see if I can
reach the actuall limit of objects ingame.

(omg, you know, I only have this game like... a week maybe  )

:!:
you kow, Mak DID have some post somwhere teaching ppl how to do just
that! this is getting creeeeeepy......
yah.. you create a new zip file, throw in a ton of user create stuff,
then rename that puppy to .ztd instead of .zip .. if you have winrar, it
makes it a lot easier.

Jup, it works like a charm, just ztd'ed up (phun alert tongue.gif ) red
bunny and red wild panda into 1 file and afterwards was able to add one
more ztd in the dir

(btw, I made a typo in the post above, the limit should be 392, not 382.
editted the post to correct it)

and thnx for suggesting winrar, it's really usefull for this indeed! 8)

So people are actually hitting the limit on downloads. I was wondering
how to combine the ztd files. I have winrar and winzip. I took all my
foliage files and tried to archive them in winrar and then changed the
file extension to ztd. This made the file a ztd file, but when I put
this in my updates folder. The foliage that I did this with didn't show
up. I think that I'm either missing a step or doing something wrong. I
someone can steeer me in the right direction, I'd be really happy. I
can't imagine not being able to have all my downloads!!

Thanks in advance,
Monkeygirl

In my game the limit is 426 .ztd's and in Devonas it is 450, so seems to
be a little different for everybody ...there also seems to be a
limit...can't remember if it was 59 or 63, but somewhere in there for
.dll's in the main ZT folder ...Devona was working on a way to combine
the dll's, but not sure if she has done it now that she is busy creating
for MM. When I get the time I'll sit down with my res-hacker and figure
it out
