Gorilla Escape

this is a sad sad story
and no one is sure what went wrong
i go to the zoo here a lot and have never seen this gorilla upset or anything
and now i fear ofr the repercussions of what will happen to my home zoo

Yes, I heard that on the news this morning. The gorilla injured four people, but yet people should know, (relating this to the gorilla's death), that gorillas nor any other animal is trained to perfection or even trained in captivity. They are still living up to their instincts. The excitement of it all triggered those injuries. The gorilla was simply scared.
They could have done away with just tranquilizing the poor thing and then transporting it back to the enclosure or any other location it was originally at. Killing it was definitely not essential.

its a sad thing for both the gorilla and the people hurt. i am sad that such an important animal had to be put down espicaly if it was the result of kids teasing him to the point of fustration.

they now think the kids teasing him provoked the gorilla to climb over the 16 foot wall and ignore the shockwire it makes me upset that the kids thought it was funny

I agree very much with Jwa. It makes me just as angry. The thought that they could just be so careless, thoughtless, and cruel is so frustrating. You always have to wonder, Why? Maybe the answer is to that is just because they want to. They have no real purpose. It's because they simply don't care. And that's the worst part.

The one picture they have of the Gorilla shows blood near it's shoulder on it's left arm (right for him). And that picture is of a long time ago....
There it is. But still that is very sad

I feel like whacking those kids that were teasing him in the head right now. That gorilla didn't deserve to be put down...

It's been awhile now since the gorilla's death, but I still wonder about it, and anger fills my soul to the point of frustration. Those kids had no right. No right at all.

Hey does anyone know what kind of food that the gorilla has? I think it might be a berry clump or something like that.

This really makes me upset. First of all, the kids didn't had to tease him, maybe the kids should be punished by putting them in a cage, so everyone can tease them. They shouldn't have killed him either, but if it was for the safety, they didn't had a choice. Probably the gorilla got angry because of the kids teasing him, and he got out. Then the kids were gone, so he went searching them. The other ppl scared him and he attacked them. I really think the kids should be punished

i dout he was hunting the kids down he was probly just very angry after being taunted by the kids and through taking out his fustration he ended up getting out and then was scared and reacted aggressivly. its much like when elephants escape from circuses and attack people there not serching for the people who work at the circus they were only scared because they endded up in a strange place and instinct took over
