Yep. I know, I'm actually still moving (after an exhausting couple of months of straight-up work) but, i'm still alive.

I managed to quickly scribble this poem down in answer to that age-old question: what is life?

"What is life
but a tapestry
sown together.
Made from dreams
from tears
from joys
from death itself.
It is a blanket
that keeps us warm
on cold nights
and carries us
safely away
to death's comforting embrace."

sad? yes. but you have to understand that it was at the end of a suger-high fueled by redbull and brownies. i was a little out-of-it. ^_^

it made me want to post it somewhere, and since i haven't been as active as i have wanted to be... i decided i should post them here. i've also got two more; look!

"--A Poem about A Poem--

Expression is a gift from God
Something precious and dear
So let me tell you something
About what I did this year

A paper passed around today
Telling of a poem contest
Write a poem and send it in
To try and be the best

I thought I might try it but
There was a problem, you see
Of all the things to write about
I didn’t know what mine should be!

I could write about a hero
Who saved a maiden fair
I could write about inequality
And spread some justice there

I could write about my feelings
Or maybe what I want to be
Or even about a simple thing
Like an ancient redwood tree

I could write about my family
Or a fugitive on the loose
There are so many subjects
I didn’t know which to choose

Then an idea came to me
When I finally got home
So here it is for you today:
A Poem about a Poem"

and

"--Slowly, Slowly--

I make some tea
Slowly, slowly

I drink it all
Slowly, slowly

I say goodnight
Slowly, slowly

I climb the stairs
Slowly, slowly

I change my clothes
Slowly, slowly

I brush my teeth
Slowly, slowly

I climb into bed
Slowly, slowly

I fall asleep
Slowly, slowly

I wake up
No, too soon!"

this is getting to be a long post, no?

and i know this is in the wrong section, but... yeah. just to let everyone know, me and my friend are taking on a little web-side thing. he's been trying to get his website up and running and asked me to contribute something... so i did. it's being started in my journal (the link is in my sig). if you want to know what it is, feel free to look, and leave a message there too. you'll get a reply (trust me).

it's literature related! i promise! *runs off to avoid fellow mod scorning*
