Here is a game suggested by Niebi. A person will ask a question. Everyone who wants will then answer that question. However, the answer has to be a quotation from a song, poem, or book. The usual forum rules apply (no swearing, avoid adult only subjects, etc.). In order to keep this manageable, the quotation should be from 1 to 8 lines. Also, please include the title and the author or performer. If there are no more answers after 24 hours, then anyone may post a new question. They may also post their quotation answer to their question.

Here's the first question for people to answer (followed by my answer).

What advice would you give to a friend of yours?

Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.
Just kickin' down the cobble stones,
Lookin' for fun and Feelin' Groovy.

- The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy), Paul Simon

Living and dying, laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you'll never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
It's hot and it's heavy and dirty and mean

Wipe the tears from your eyes
Wipe your tears away
Wipe your tears away
I wipe your tears away
(sunday, bloody sunday)
I wipe your blood shot eyes
(sunday, bloody sunday)

Sunday, bloody sunday (sunday, bloody sunday)
Sunday, bloody sunday (sunday, bloody sunday)
(here i come!)

And it's true we are immune
When fact is fiction and tv reality
And today the millions cry
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die

Do I really have to say who since I'm sure y'all already know

I returned to Neverland to play my favorite games
Forgotten is the pain at hand, and I don't remember names
There's Indians and mermaids, far better than a book
And if my interest in them fades,

well, there's always Captain Hook ;)

"Night I left the city,
I dreamt of a wolf..."

He came from where the winds are cold
And truth is seen through keyholes
...strange longings never sleep
Now he's come where no hearts beat
Cry wolf
Time to worry
Cry wolf
Time to worry

Title: Cry Wolf
Artist: A-Ha

What would you say to someone living far north right now?

Here comes the sun
do do do do
Here comes the sun,
and I say - "It's all right"

- Here Comes the Sun, George Harrison (Beatles)

Seems it never rains in Southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl, don't they warn ya
It pours man it pours

I am sorry...couldn´t controll myself..I just had to add this one
for us living up north...now´s the best of times

Sol, vind och vatten är
det bästa som jag vet,
men det är på dig jag
tänker i hemlighet.
Sol, vind och vatten,
höga berg och djupa haaav.
Det, är mina drömmar vävda av.

How would you describe life?

It's a beautiful noise
Made of joy and of strife
Like a symphony played
By the passing parade
It's the music of life

- Beautiful Noise, Neil Diamond

Nine To Five
Dolly Parton

Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen
Pour myself a cup of ambition
And yawn and stratch and try to come to life
Jump in the shower and the blood starts pumping
Out on the street the traffic starts jumping
With folks like me on the job from nine to five

Working nine to five what a way to make a living
Barely getting by it's all taking and no giving
They just use your mind and they never give you credit
It's enough to drive you crazy if you let it
Nine to five for service and devotion
You would think that I would deserve a fair promotion
Want to move ahead but the boss won't seem to let me
I swear sometimes that man is out to get me

:boohoo:
