It is very important in this game to not change things. On July 13, you said it was 8 letters long. Then you changed it to 9 letters on July 29. Now it is back to 8 letters. You also changed at least one of your number of matches. It is very important to have the number of matches correct. You probably should look at the examples in the first post to make sure you understand how to give the number of matches. Then please give the number of matches for all of the guesses so far. I do not believe any animal exists for your current list of matches. Here were the guesses:

kangaroo
aardvark
bullfrog
elephant
courlans
warbling
unialgal
red iguana
alligator

If you would like, you can send me a PM with your animal. Then I will help you with the number of matches and let others try to get the animal.

I will be helping Golden_Okapi. So others can guess. The only number of matches that was still wrong was for "aardvark". Here is a recap of everything with the correct number of matches.

This animal has 8 letters.

kangaroo: 4 letters match
aardvark: 1 letter matches
bullfrog: 4 letters match
elephant: 3 letters match
courlans: 4 letters match
warbling: 5 letters match
unialgal: 5 letters match
red iguana: 4 letters match
alligator: 5 letters match

There is only one possibility that fits these clues.
