Hello al, I just purchased CC the other day and have downloaded some files that I cant find out where to put, these are the ones that when I unzip them I get two different folders with the subfolders in them , the main folders are objects and scenery. I tried to search for the answer before I posted, but couldn't find it. Thanks for your help in advance!

Welcome to the Lounge.

I'm glad you found what you needed. Just in case... It sounds like you downloaded a "ztd" file. You do not unzip a ztd file. Instead, you just copy it to the Updates folder of the Zoo Tycoon folder. Usually this is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\Updates. (Some people with CC like to put downloads in the dlupdate folder instead of the Updates folder. For animals and scenery, either will work. For some special downloads called hacks, they must go in the dlupdate folder for CC. In that case, the download instuctions will usually tell you.)

For some people, when they download a "ztd" file, it appears on their computer as "something.ztd.zip". Again, you do not unzip it. However, some people like to rename it so that it ends with ".ztd" instead of ".zip".

If, however, you download a ".zip" file that does not end in ".ztd.zip", that is when you unzip it.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. And have fun!

Wow, thanks for the fast response! Yes, it was the ztd.zip files which I just took off the .zip and they work fine. I am an everquester, and this is the first time I've done anything with user made downloads, so I was "unsure" of the whole thing until it finally clicked in last night. Now, I think I have it!! ;)

Can't wait to start making my own!

okapi_07 answered when you asked the same question in the New Animals/Objects - Discussion section. You have to use a program called APE and you have to use a graphics program to create each frame of the animal animations. He also mentioned the APE Questions section. You should read all of the guides in the APE Questions section in order to understand how to create downloads. Even then, it is hard work.
