Nope, but being at Purdue there are a lot of FFA people here (especially in the school of agriculture

) . There is a stone monument thing from the FFA in front of one of our buildings too. It's pretty cool. I might have been in it if I had grown up in the country. But I was unlucky enough to be a suburban gal. At least I got outdoors pretty often, just not really a farming community.

I should have clarified that in my post. FFA stands for Future Farmers of America.

Ahh, thanks Superlion. Well, seeing as I come from England I haven't heard of it and I'm not a member as I said. Still, it sounds like an interesting organization - it's a nice idea to keep up farming

It's actually now called the national ffa oganazation. yes ffa stands for future farmers of america but, that was changed to support all of agriculture. The Future farmers of America isn't really part of the name anymore. So it is called the National FFA Organazation. confusing huh.

I was in FFA when I was in high-school. I showed market hogs also. We raise show pigs (Hamps, Yorks, Durocs, and Crosses) and Southdown showlambs. I have the cutest picture of my 3-year-old daughter touching noses with her bottle lamb.

Nah, I'm a city folk. And I don't have the southern accent either. Nothing wrong with that, just clarifying it. I have quite a few friends who work and live on farms.
