It's that time of year when we get some of those really cool things that we've been waiting for for MONTHS.
It's also that time of year when Auntie Nelly buys us ANOTHER pair of grey wooly socks!
So, what did you get?
Was it good, bad, ugly or something that went straight back to the store as soon as they opened?
:D

I got a slew of DVDs; Rocky, Mallrats, Bad Boys and *ahem* The Deer Hunter
Some cool new tunes from the Kaiser Chiefs
A couple of books (including Gruumpy Old Men (was my Dad trying to tell me something?))
Booze
Some rather nice aftershave (a sign I'm getting old)
and the Lord Of The Rings Trivial Pursuit :D

For once I actually didn't get anything too detestable (which makes a nice change).

How about you guys?

i got a hedge trimmer
i know iknow, it is a step down from a chainsaw, but i gotta work up to the big stuff ;)

and about half a dozen books:
The Land That Never Was: Sir Gregor Macgregor and the Most Audacious Fraud in History by David Sinclair
The Machine Crusade by Brian Herbert
Free Stallion by Amber Tamblyn
Road To Dune byFrank Herbert
Return of the Crazy Bird by Clara Pinto-Correia
Search for the Golden Moon Bear: Science and Adventure in Pursuit of a New Species by Sy Montgomery
A Certain Curve of Horn: The Hundred-Year Quest for the Giant Sable Antelope of Angola by John Frederick Walker

and a bunch of clothes (mostly jeans and a few shirts), that new madonna cd, a best buy gift card and some $$$

most fun was getting present for my daughter and watching her open and play with stuff. this was the first year she has been "into the present thing" (now being the ripe old age of 20 months)

her faves included a stuffed Bambi, a toy shopping cart with tons of plastic foods, Tumble Time Tigger, and most Fisher-Price little people (which I swear are overtaking my house!)

50cent...dang....Blue has a wild side!!
Jwa's like of Madonna didn't surprise me....there seems to be a secret society of Madonna lovers out there.
I got a heating pad, a thermal blanket, and a Sanyo mp3 player. Not much, but I use all a good deal. Heating pad=heaven for aching knee. Ah, I think I'm getting old too.
