Ali, my alligator just died today, I don't get it. He was fine this morning, swimming around, there was no problem, then I came home tonight and he was just floating there. I'll never be able to forget that image for the rest of my life. He was going to be four this November. Me and my dad buried him. I misss him so much, he was one of my best friends and he was a member of my family. It just doesn't seem fair, why do we always outlive the ones we love? Well thanks for reading this, I geuss I just needed to get my feelings out. I feel a little better now,

but to all of you with loved ones, treasure the time you have together, because you never knw when they'll be gone.

I'm sorry to hear about that. It is tough losing a pet.....one of the worst facts of life, in my opinion. Just try to keep your chin up. This might sound corny, but I believe the animals and people we cherish on earth live in our hearts and minds forever, and nobody can ever take that away.

Yeah, I never like losing a pet

Sorry to hear about yours
Sounds like something wasn't quite right though if it was almost 4 years old and only around 1 ft. long...

That's the problem with exotic pets. We just doen't know enough about them to keep them healthy. I stick with cats and fish.

Well, not all exotic pets are like that, some, like alligators, are difficult to tak ecare of, and get sick, or...yeah, I'm gonna be quiet now, for a change.

What I really don't get is that I took him to an exotic reptile vet and he said that he was healthy, we asked about his size, and he said we shouldn't worry about it. Well, thanks.
