- Make the world your playground.
- If you can't get your way, lay across the keyboard till you do.
- If you are hungry, speak loudly so they feed you just to shut up.
- Always find a good patch of sun to nap in.
- Nap often.
- When in trouble, just purr and look cute.
- Life is hard, and then you nap.
- Curiosity never killed anything except maybe a few hours.
- Variety is the spice of life. One day, ignore people; the next day, annoy them.
- Climb your way to the top; that's why the curtains are there.
- Make your mark in the world, or at least spray in each corner.
- Always give generously; a bird or rodent left on the bed tells them, "I care".

Don't forget the first and most important thing a cat teaches its "owner" :

The human does not own the cat, the cat owns the human and if the cat wants something, the cat gets it. (Like a rocking chair that has been warmed by the body heat of someone who WAS resting comfortably in the chair)

That sounds just like the cat I used to have. Except I didn't have a computer back then so she used to lie on the tapestry I was doing or the book or paper I was trying to read.

- if the humans are not doing what you want, block their view of the television until they respond

Oh man....that is exactly what my cat Minnie does. Cats are persistent little beasts.

My cat, Manx does that all the time... he wants something, so he either sits in front of the monitor, staring at me, or lays down on the keyboard...

Those rules could DEFINATLY be applied to real life. My cat, Callie, it's so sute, if I don't pet her, she'll sit on my lap and rub my hand, making my drawings mess up!

Black hoodies and sweatshirts don't respond well to cat hair...?
