Jesus Christ's birthday is the reason for Christmas. It's where the name came from.
Someone needs to update the calander

The reason for the season!

Merry Christmas

Though, to be fair, Saint Nicolas (though quite far from the current view of "Santa Claus") was a good Christian guy (otherwise, would they cannonize him?). He would give candy to good children and punish bad children. But that's not anything to do with why we celebrate Christmas. @_@

A fact is a simple statement that everyone believes. It is innocent, unless found guilty. A hypothesis is a novel suggestion that no one wants to believe. It is guilty, until found effective.

Ah yes, merry (very belated) Christmas and a very happy New Year!

Although! Ole' Saint Nick was originally a small skinny elf... now thats something that not many know! And the reindeer come from a legend (from somewhere North), of an old man, who was forbidden to care for the children during the winter season, by a very mean Norse god. Don't know which one though... ??? But, he was sickly anyway, and by the time the coldest night of the season came, he was near death.

Now I'm not quite sure how the rest goes, but a reindeer pulled a sled, with Nick on the back and pulled him all around to give sweets to the children... aww, so cute!

But anyway, yes, Happy New Year at least! :)
