Happy Thanksgiving!

The turkey is in the oven. The apricots are stewed. The pies are ready. All I have to do is vacuum and rehang my freshly washed shower curtain.

It's time to reflect on what the day means. At the dinner table we will give each person a turn to say what he or she is thankful for. I am thankful for many things...

My faith
My family
My friends
A job I love
Books
Good health
Books
A warm home
Books
Clothes to wear
Books
Food in the house
Books
Enough money to pay bills and live a little
Oh yeah...did I mention books?

What about you? What's your favorite food for the day? What are you thankful for? :blue:

You must be having dinner at your house, Blue. ;)

I am thankful for so many things I can't even list them all. Have a wonderful day, everyone!!!

(And for those outside the US, have a good day despite it just being an ordinary day for you).

It is a shame that countries besides Canada and the U.S. do not have Thanksgiving. It is a very good holiday... giving thanks for the good things that happened over the past year. In the U.S., there are other parts to the holiday also, such as having turkey. But that is not the most important part.

I had my traditional Thanksgiving meal. Every year I go to Perkins and have a chef salad. It has turkey in it. :))

As for my thanks (those that are relevant here): for my friends, my computer, being able to bring at least a little happiness to others through this site and helping with downloads, and for good enough health to be able to spend time with the above.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, no matter where you are in the world!

Sorry I'm late--I was out of town having Thanksgiving with my relatives. :)

I am thankful for so many things...really, you can be thankful for just about anything when you think about it. But I'm definitely thankful for all my friends, and for the people who make this site possible. ;) Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

sorry I'm later (just got the computer back from being fixed)

I'm thankful for lots of things too
I had a good thanksgiving (and got to have two dinners! in two different states and with two different grandmas )
I went two Indiana to see my grandma wednesday night and stayed for the family reunion dinner on thanksgiving (where i know less than half the people and the food is pretty gross (if it can possibly be in an instant powdered or concentrated form...it is at that dinner) and once got a black eye from an adopted child of one of my relatives  who i didnt know) then we drove back home to ohio and had a really good dinner at my other grandma's house with my mom's side of the family (and my grandma can acctually cook unlike whoever makes the other meal  ) and that was more fun

I had a lousy Thanksgiving. It's just not the same without my poppy. And all I had to eat was 2 peices of instant bread. No turkey for me, most of my family are vegitarians..AND i sat on the car roof for an hour,my dad was sick, and my cousin followed me around. (I HATE little kids, thats why I sat on the roof)
But, I hope the rest of you had a great Thanksgiving! :D
