Well, I've waded my way through Shrek 2 and Troy (he-he) today.
Shrek I loved. A lot.
It may even be funnier than the first one (it certainly has a million more "in-jokes" to chuckle at). It's great fun for kids and equally good fun for adults (the scene with Pinoccio's underwear had me in stitches!).
anyway... 10/10 fer sure there.
Troy was...epic to say the least.
Not quite in the class of Ben-Hur but still worthy of the title. An quality cast of actors, some amazing armour and some great fights.
My only real issue with it is that it is in effect one long drawn out battle (it's a quibble I know, the film IS about a siege after all).
Worth a watch at the very least, but not one I would go back to until it hit DVD.

I saw the third Harry Potter a time ago. I must say, i like the books and stuff, but not anything else. The First 2 movies were HORRIBLE. I hated those, but the third was rather good. Much darker then the first 2 and much better. Okay the wherewolf was ridiculous(i scream becuz i have no hair!!), but the hippogryfs and esspecially the dementors were great.
My "i want to see these movies" list: Troy, Van Helsing, Day after Tomorrow, Shrek 2, Fahrenheit 9/11 and maybe some others.

I just saw the Stepford Wives and it was hilarious! I thought it would be more of a chick flick but my dad really liked it. I want to see it again.

I was disappointed in HP POA. I thought it was .. well, maybe filmed weird? Strange angles or something maybe. Too much was left out I thought too. I love the books and I wish the movies were a bit closer to them. I thought the dementors were great though.
Wanting to go see The Terminal with Tom HAnks. Looks like a cute movie.

my sister meantoned they left out alot. i think the reason for that is partially because they didn't want to amke the movie too long (wasn't it shorter than the second?) and book 3 is larger.
anywyas my list of wanna-see movies is kinda like appman's: troy, van helsing, shrek 2, stepford wifes, day after tomorrow, day without a mexican

Show the world that love is still alive you must be brave
Or you children of today are Children of the Grave."

I watched The Day after Tomorrow yesterday, but I didn't like it. Okay, the special effects were amazing(offcourse, it was a bigbudget movie) and the idea behind all too, but the story itself was full of holes and errors(isn't the statue of liberty at the harbor?)and predictable. The ending was ridiculous and the wolves in the boat, were or: super genetically manipulated dogs, or a special new breed of wolves from outher space.
My favorite errors:
SPOILER ALERT
DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE.
- on the trip to new york, they fall into that building(trough the glass) and they cut off their bagage(wich is shattered on the floor), but a bit later you see them back with their sledge.
- They enter New York passing by the statue of Liberty, but isn't she at the harbor? So or they first walked around New York to enter by the harbor, or the statue moved itself magically.
- How does that Russian boat got there? They're not even near Russia. And even if the boat was in American waters, he could impossibly just go nicely trough the roads of New York. And why were all medicins in Russian except the Penicilline.
I can go on like this forever.

i just saw Around the World in 80 Days yesterday. it got some bad reviews, but it really is a great movie. Very little language, action and violence was suitable for younger viewers, and the kind of innuendo was about ladies' ankles. ^_^ jackie chan was excellent (as usual), and there are lots of guest appearences by famous actors and such. the only thing i didn't like about going to see it was that my popcorn didn't have that much butter on it...
i mean, you might not like it, but i did. a nice break from the other movies they're putting out nowadays.
and has anyone seen The Terminal yet? i heard it got bad reviews, and everybody hates it, but i looks like a really good movie.

I just worked my way through Haunted Mansion (I remember the days when Eddie Murphy used to make me laugh), Scooby Doo 2 (hahahahahahahahahahahahhah I loved it) and the Return of the King (yeah I KNOW I'm behind the rest of the world on this one).
Oh and Gothika.
I liked Gothika.
A lot.
Sure Halley Berry is easy on the eyes (even when she is all mussed up and insane), but dang it was a good film. Scary when it needed to be, and it made you think too (which is good). One to watch, with a pillow handy to hide behind when you need to

oh yeah! i saw gothika too! it was great. very scary and suspenseful. definately a stuffed-animal movie.
fortunately for me, i watched it with my best friend and her boyfriend (who, strangely, acts like a 4-year-old kid who hasn't taken his riddlin in weeks and just ate 20 pieces of cake). we had fun with the movie. ^_^ made fun of it and everything... like the "techno ghost rave" (with the flickery lights and stuffs) and the "top 10 reasons why you should never take a shower in a public shower room".

I've seen Gothika, I love Gothika.
I know, "If you love it so much, why don't you marry it?" I've heard that too many times lol.
I aw Garfield the Movie and Dodgeball a few days ago at the drive-in theater. Garfield was cute, but way too active for the "real" Garfield. Though I know it was for suspense and entertainment.
Dodgeball was hilarious. I would go into the real funny details, but it wouldn't be appropriate for this forum.
If you know what I mean.
All in all, the movies were definitely worth the money.
